Building a Reliable Ceramic Product Specification
A product specification turns a visual idea into a shared reference. It also makes quotations and sample reviews clearer by distinguishing verified facts from details that still require confirmation.
Separate known information from open decisions
Use published dimensions and materials where available. Mark missing dimensions, capacities, weights and other technical details as requiring confirmation. A blank field should lead to a question, not an invented number.
Record the approved product details
Confirm the form, dimensions, material, finish, branding and set contents. Define any agreed tolerances or handmade variations with the workshop. Use the approved sample or written reference to keep these decisions connected.
Keep commercial terms with the project
Quantities, price, development work, sampling, packing and timing belong in the agreed quotation or order specification. A catalogue or quick line sheet supports product review; it does not replace a confirmed commercial offer.
